We made it!!!

Well, we are in Panama City at the Torres de Alba Hotel. Our flights went great and we were greated at the airport by Sarah (a missionary from Abingdon, Virginia who now lives in Georgia who is visiting at the children's home), the house parents from the children's home and a preacher from the bible school next to the home who drove the van for them! It was a wonderful and welcoming surprise to have such a warm welcome! (We posted a few pictures)They said they had a party for Maria today, and that it was a really good day! We are so excited, nervous, overjoyed, overwhelmed.....the list goes on! Eleazer, the preacher who met us, said that he was nervous, and he's not the one who is adopting! We will be picked up at 8:00 in the morning to go the the children's home to meet Maria! The psychologist who has been working with her since November is going with us, and after spending some time with Maria, we are all going to the Church there on the campus with the children's home. If all goes well, our little girl will come back to the hotel with us tomorrow, and be with us forever! We can't thank Sarah enough for her help and encouragement! The driver was there to pick us up at the airport and was very nice. They gave us a cell phone, and the atorney, his assistant and the man who runs the travel service called us on a 3-way call to make arrangements for tomorrow, etc. The man at the hotel who helped us to our room has been wonderful! Alberto is his name. He got our internet working and walked Greg down the steet to a market so he could get us some drinks. We have a full kitchen, washer and dryer in the room. O.K. this is all going too well.....it's almost scary! What a blessed day! Thank you Chris and April for seeing us off today and thank you Betty and Jim for keeping the girls! Thank you everyone who is praying and who has helped with this process. And most of all, we thank and praise God who has "lifted us up with wings like eagles" and carried us through this process and much more! I thought of this verse from Isaiah 40 when I was looking out the window of the plane and was watching the wing flapping! Well can you tell we're wound up......we'll post tomorrow evening, Lord willing, with great news!

Greg and Sena, we are so excited for you! We prayed for you yesterday and we are praying for you today as you meet your daughter. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. I am making a special insert in the bulletin today with pictures and your recent posts so your church family can follow along - even the ones without Internet access. WE LOVE YOU and can't wait to meet Maria!
Love, Jamie and Tim and family
